Description
Touhou Hangyaku Geki, literally translated as Eastern Rebellion Game, is an action shooting game starring Sakuya Izayoi with a simple objective: destroy all enemies. Sakuya starts with a mop, but later numerous kinds of weapons can be unlocked by collecting power tabs through stages. There are 21 kinds of weapons, and since enemies are multiplying and getting more powerful, upgrading weapons is a necessity. The player moves using thekeyboard, while the mouse is used to aimand shoot. The game consists of 50 missions and 3 bosses, but the player can do them in any order anytime if they have sufficient weapons. Touhou Hangyaku Geki is a collaboration project of Hachimitsu Kumasan and Kanagawa Denshi Gijutsu Kenkyuujo which was released at Comiket 83, on December 30, 2012.

The player takes the role of Reimu Hakurei, where she should build shrines near the wells to summon spirits in order to defeat monsters in combat. Victory is achieved when all the monsters have been destroyed, their map is captured, or another victory condition has been met. The game features 14 chapters and new characters can be unlocked in certain maps or chapters.

Gameplay:
The player controls Nitori as she travels horizontally through the various stages. Shooting enemies or kappa crates will drop weapons for Nitori to collect. Like the Katamari games, Nitori’s weapons stick to her and each other, which increase her firepower. The more weapons collected, the larger her hitbox becomes and the slower she moves. Pressing release shoots all of her weapons forward, which will damage the enemies in front of her. If a weapon on Nitori gets hit by enemy fire, it will fall off. If Nitori herself gets hit, every collected weapon will fall from her body. Getting hit without a weapon will cause Nitori to lose a life. On certain intervals, Marisa, Koishi, and Seiga will appear. Shooting them will have a positive effect on Nitori (Shooting Marisa will drop collectible weapons, hitting Seiga enough will drop an extra life, shooting Koishi will increase points). At the end of each stage, a boss will appear. Defeating the boss will progress the game to the next stage.
