The only two assortments of teams I've ever seen is everyone but Sabine or everyone but Chopper. And of course Harrah as leader so which group is better. I would imagine Chopper is better if you want a more defensive team and Sabine is better if you wanted more offense team. but overall which one's best

Kanan is best tank, chopper is just good for removing buffs and stunning droids. His passive doesn’t get shared with the team.

Chopper is used in the team for the Thrawn event only, pretty much. Removes the buff on troopers in the last round of tier 7.

Sabine in every single other circ*mstance. Maybe other than Tank Raid P1 and P3. Can use him to stun droid adds, as opposed to Sabine’s multi attacks feeding Turn Meter to the boss.

Go for chopper for Thrawn. I’ve seen other strategies, even one without using Kanan, but the standard comp is most common one that successfully acquired Thrawn. Fair warning, no matter what you do, it will take MANY tries to get the right RNG.

    Hera (L)
    Ezra
    Zeb
    Kanan
    Chopper

All at least Gear 8, I would say. Don’t need SUPER great mods, but they help. Same with omegas. I finished it without any zetas.

Awesome. I'm going for the Pinnacle Empire team.
    L-Thrawn
    Palp
    Vader
    DT
    Krennic.
The Phoenix Squadron will help me get both Palpatine and thrawn.

And with an Empire team like that R2 will be a piece of cake

Only debate concerning Phoenix is whether to use Sabine or Chopper. Obviously Hera leads.

I'm of the opinion it's just down to how you like to play. Chopper makes the team more defensive and tactial, Sabine makes it more offensive and hard-hitting.

Choice is yours, doesn't make much difference. In my opinion.

Personally I'm ofthe e opinion that if you don't have sabine starred up its down to how much you like to farm hard nodes.

    ^ There is that yes.

I've gone for Sabine. She helped get me Thrawn so I'm happy with that. Other people go for Chopper. With the same result.

chopper doesnt add much, protection regain can be done with zeb kanan special & zeb unique. phoenix have more than enough survivability with or without chopper, but seriously lacks damage. Ezra and zeb can't carry the whole team. sabine is the one who really makes phoenix both hard hitting and hard to die. but she's single hard node farm that's it

Sabine all the way. Chopper is needed if you're using Phantom-II ship to round it out. Sabine's zeta is outright offensive and buffs the team with CC and Offense up. Major upside. I actually use Sabine in my arena team due to the major offense. She is hard to farm as it was her that kept me from 7* Thrawn earlier. The next time Thrawn came up, I had to zeta her to get 7*. I'm not saying you need to zeta her for Thrawn but her and Kanan's zeta benefit the team greatly.

If you enjoy running Phoenix is a variety of scenarios Kanan's zeta is a must.

I kind of hate Pheonix just for what they are and how CG shoved them down our throats... but that being said Sabine is the best option.
One of the issues with Phoenix is they don't hit hard enough to be a threat and playing them is a slow grind through battles which makes you hate them more then you probably already do. Sabine brings in extra TM manipulation on her AoE - which people seem to forget. She makes Ezra truly impactful.
Then her Armor shred is perfect for bosses or raids. Each time she taps the boss with it you can watch as Ezra and co do more and more damage. With Judiscious use of her Armor shred and then spamming her AoE on a non-toppled raid boss to reduce giving TM you can score pretty well wherever. And Chopper keeping your team alive in a raid is a) eventually not necessary once they're geared and 2) doesn't add more damage before enrage.

It all depends on what your end goal for phoenix is.. Do you want them to be arena viable? Do you want to use them only for events? Auto GW?

If you plan on using them strictly for Thrawn and EP then use Chopper (easier farm and works great for Thrawn event) I also use this phoenix team to clear GW every day.

Now if you want to zeta them and start using them for arena then Sabine would be the way to go.

Sabine is definitely more powerful than Chopper, but I breeze through against Phoenix with Sabine. Phoenix with Chopper is very difficult because it goes back and forth with taunts between Kanaan and Chopper while the rest of Phoenix picks you apart.

Also Sabine is brutal to farm, especially not being in the guild store anymore. Ive had the other 4 at 7 stars for 1-2 months while im still trying to grind her. Chopper would have easily been done by now at the same pace.

I would go Chopper just for farm time, and either will easily get you 5* Thrawn. 6-7* Thrawn you need to really work on gearing up all members.

    Lots of different opinions here..
I like to not use Sabine.
This is strictly for TB because that’s the only place I use them.
Chopper can stun an enemy droid when needed.
Zeb/Kanan can give out enough protection to keep the team safe. I like to taunt with chopper whenever possible and than give some extra protection to him. Chopper also has a dispell.
With this much defense, the fights do take a bit longer, but you can use the airsrike almost every round to your advantage.
I have all at g8 with omegas on their unique. My Ezra is g11 with all omegas.
I have never lost a phase 5 TB fight with my Phoenix.
    Chopper > Sabine IMO

As you said yourself, sabine os best for offense, chopper is best for defense. Other tham that, it is subjective to your preference.

However, chopper is much much easier to farm.

Chopper is way too much utility to not farm. He has 1 of 2 Phoenix taunts, 1 of 2 buff wipes, 1 of 2 that can decrease others cooldowns, and gives out unique buffs on basic, AoE TM reduction, and the second best unique of the squad. His counter and assist alone keeps Phoenix buffed constantly, and off cooldowns.

But I don't think any of them should be skipped. If you are gonna gear and farm 5, you might as well grab the sixth as well since they have 2 ships, are needed for Chimaera, and rock dual/trips tags so the last man out can drop to rebel or Jedi squads in TW & TB.

I will be the oddball that does uses Ezra in my main line-up. I tend to use Ezra for my Jedi team. I realize he can up the damage of the entire team, but Zeta Sabine packs way too much of a punch to ignore, while Chopper adds a great deal of defense and utility to the team.

Both have their advantages. One benefit of chopper is it was an Onega rework he got. Even though his added assist ability isn't shared, the frequent buffs/Cooldown reduction from the assists are an often overlooked bonus. Bumping him to a secondary squad - under old Ben the increased evasion combined while taunting actually helps.

If you zeta Sabine, you will be crazy impressed. Under a full Phoenix squad, the multiple (stacking) exposes - wow! (For fun on light side and cantina battles, also adding a borrowed Jyn can push the expose stacks even higher) once I had 9stacks lol
