YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Yellowstone National Park’s Tribal Heritage Center is open to the public for its third season as of Monday, May 20, the park announced today.

The Tribal Heritage Center hosts Indigenous artists, scholars and speakers from the 27 Tribes associated with Yellowstone through a partnership with Yellowstone Forever and Tribal consultation. This year, 27 presenters from 17 associated Tribes are scheduled to engage with Yellowstone visitors through the presentation of photography, beadwork, flint knapping (shaping), dance, storytelling, quillwork and more.

“The Tribal Heritage Center offers a unique opportunity for visitors to engage with and learn from the original stewards of this land, emphasizing the ongoing cultural significance of the area now known as Yellowstone National Park,” Alyssa McGeeley, Tribal Engagement Manager and member of the Muscogee Tribe from Oklahoma, said via news release. “The success of this initiative is a testament to its power and importance. It has not only educated countless visitors but also strengthened the cultural ties and visibility of the Tribes associated with these lands.”

The Tribal Heritage Center, situated near the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center, will be open through Oct. 11.
